As the dawn of 2024 graced us with hope and excitement, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey of the past two years with a heart full of gratitude and clarity. The vision I had, of not only helping people feel better on the outside but also nurturing their inner well-being, is slowly but surely coming to fruition.
In my recent blog, I expressed deep thanks for every encounter and challenge of the previous year. Through the ups and downs, the happy moments far outweighed the sad ones, all thanks to the beautiful community we've built and continue to nurture. This sense of community propels me forward, fueling my desire to serve not only those who walk through the doors of Namaste Brows and Boutique but also the broader community— from the homeless in Minneapolis to the teenage moms at LifeHaven and the seniors living just behind our space.
My prayers echo a commitment to selflessness and a desire to make a lasting impact, focusing not just on short-term assistance but on changing lives in the long run. I aspire to broaden my horizons, extending my service to individuals and organizations, both big and small. Behind me stands a supportive and hardworking husband, along with two beautiful children who inspire me daily to reach higher and do more for our community.
Over the past two weeks, my family and I have worked diligently to transform our space into a welcoming sanctuary—a place of peace that can serve as an example for others to draw inspiration from as they embark on their journey of self-discovery.
As I reflect on the first day I stepped into this space, I had no inkling of what it would become or who I would serve. Today, I see with clarity that it's the little things that matter most. It's about looking into individuals' eyes, offering praise, inquiring about their well-being, their families, and sometimes delving deeper into their life stories.
Every person who enters the store is an opportunity for mutual exchange—a chance for me to give and receive. I give my time, positive energy, best wishes, and prayers, and in return, I receive love, support, encouragement, and new ideas. With my roots in Nepal, the thought of my Nepali women has always been at the forefront of my mind. This motivated the expansion into a boutique, where I've tirelessly worked on certifications to better advocate for Nepali handmade products.
As I pursue these certifications, I hope to bring good news and create broader opportunities to serve both here in Minnesota and back home in Nepal. To all who have encouraged me to dream bigger, I extend my deepest thanks. This dream is possible because of every little thing—Google reviews, nominations as a radical community leader, and the guidance on available resources for small business owners.
